After lifting the container wagon into the test frame, the vertical and horizontal load cases were carried out first. In accordance with the normative requirements, this was done with the container wagon both being unloaded and loaded.

Test institute for railway vehicles – New test specimen "on its way"

With the delivery by truck the active phase of static and dynamic testing of a two-car container wagon began. After unloading, by using the crane system the two car sections initially were positioned in the testing hall for the measurement preparation work.

That was bauma 2022

For the first time, IFF Engineering & Consulting GmbH has presented itself as an exhibitor at the bauma in Munich.

The focus of the trade fair presentation was on engineering services for manufacturers and operators of construction machinery and special vehicles.

Structural strength test and buffing impact tests on a coil transport wagon

The Structural strength test on the body shell of a coil transport wagon was carried out in our test hall. The buffing impact tests took place on a completely equipped wagon of this type at our external test location at Halle-Ammendorf.

We are reaccredited according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018

The efforts had been worth it and after intensive preparation we were able to complete our reaccreditation according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018 successfully.

Optimization of rope force distribution in rigid rope towers by means of radio measuring axles

Geometry and rope force distribution of a rigid rope tower both have a large influence on the achievable rope service lives. With our new generation of radio measuring axles and the related optimization software, the procedure for setting the geometry and the rope force distribution of a rigid rope tower is now simplified.

Complex acceptance test on a crane runway column

After reconstruction works in a customer's production hall, new crane runways in two adjacent bays were subject to an acceptance test. During the preparatory static studies, however, it already was to be seen that the existing reinforced-concrete columns were not sufficiently stable for all conceivable load combinations.
