Test institute for railway vehicles – New test specimen "on its way"
With the delivery by truck the active phase of static and dynamic testing of a two-car container wagon began. After unloading, by using the crane system the two car sections initially were positioned in the testing hall for the measurement preparation work.
A total of around 120 measuring points will be installed. After the measurement preparation, the wagon sections will be lifted into the test frame, coupled and loaded with a total of 4 20-foot containers during the static strength test.
After completing the static tests, the test setup will be dismantled and the container wagons and ballasting containers will be transported to our test track in order to carry out the impact tests.
